Marriage.

As black people even after a woman has left her marriage she is still considered a wife to the family she was married into yet a can move on and is not considered a husband or an in law to the wife's family and it is justified by "the woman takes the man's surname" do you think it's fair

  1. It's not always the case, it depends on the kind of marriage they had, in Sesotho we have a saying "'Mapoho ha nyaloe" that is because back in the days, a woman who was married with cattles & bore a son for that family could not divorce, therefore she could only remarry when the husband is no more; and in most cases ' o na keneloa' meaning, she would be married to her deceased husband's sibling or relative. Nowadays, you can divorce your husband & decide whether you want to keep his surname or not.

  2. It really depends on the culture because in some cultures when the husband is dead. The wife then gets married to the husband brother so it really differs

  3. It is fair if the woman is still using the names of that family but if she is no longer using those names then it is not fair.
