Black parents discipline

As black people there are values and norms that we live by , and some of them are ridiculous and unreasonable.  so I want discuss of how the values and norms of growing up in a black household are sometimes reasonable and unfair from the issues of marriage, child disciplinary, black tax everything that has to do with being black.

Now let's talk to the issue of reprimanding or disciplinary. Black folks have their way of disciplinary and oh boy it's not a walk in the candy store. What is that one thing that you can never say or do when a black parent is reprimanding you?

  2. We need to train our parents how to treat us. With respect. They need to know what hurts and and what doesn't. They need to know that sometimes tough love isn't the right way to raise a child. Let's be the better generation

  4. Many black parents hit to keep their kids from “turning out bad,” it is clearly not working because children suffer negative outcomes in educational achievement

  7. Well, answering your question, I personally do not or cannot talk back or even try to reason because if I do so, I'll be seen disrespect.

  8. Let's allow sanity to prevail. Our parents are the roots of our depression. You dare answer back when being reprimanded by mine the next thing you'll see are stars blinking in your eye!!

  9. There's literally no way to bark lack of intellectuality on your kids. Little patience goes a long way to help them

  10. Talking back at a black parent is a wrong thing a black could can never do but I believe if we sit our parent down and let them know how we feel about their household rules, they'll get some sense that we are no more kids. You train someone on how they should treat you.

  11. I would always want to tell them "why don't just leave me alone" but I'd never say it because if I did I'd be dead by now, because I feel like if you reprimand a person you have to say it once and they'll understand rather than repeating one thing time and again

  18. If you wanted my mom to take your side, you needed to report first; my siblings new this and every time we fought they would report first & mom wouldn't buy my side of the story. I've always wanted to tell her that she's wronged me but couldn't bring myself to confess as it meant more beating for being rebellious.

  19. Being black is difficult 😂🙌when being diciplined, you answer trying make her aware of why did what you did. You are a very disrespectful child you talk back at your elders and then you keep your mouth shut, " ohh I'm talking to you and you are ignoring me" parents just don't know what they want from us. That's it
